Experts say that Catarina Migliorini, the 20-year-old Brazilian woman who auctioned off her virginity for more than three-quarters of a million dollars, can’t really prove that she is a virgin – even though the website that organized the bidding auction claims that her innocence is still intact.

The website states:
The female virgin will undergo a medical examination by an accredited gynecologist and provide the winning bidder with medical evidence of her virginity. The virgin must provide a document from the gynecologist that certifies her claim to virginity. The accompanying medical certificate will be a statutory declaration that supports her claim to virginity.
That’s all well and good, but experts say it’s nearly impossible for Migliorini, or any woman for that matter, to prove whether or not she is actually a virgin.
Bat Sheva Marcus, a licensed master social worker with a master’s in public health and a self-proclaimed “sexual dysfunction specialist” who works as clinical director of the Medical Center for Female Sexuality in New York, told the Huffington Post that’s there is “no way unequivocally” to conduct the type of test that the website suggests:
“The hymen is the usual way to determine virginity, but hymens come in all shapes and sizes.”
A Japanese man named “Natsu” won the online auction — which was sponsored by the Australia-based website VirginsWanted.com.au.
Migliorini said that she plans to give some of the money from the auction to schools in Brazil.
