Before the release of Dakota’s upcoming movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the actress got a chance to sit down with the magazine and touch on topics ranging from her co-star, Kristen Stewart’s recent cheating scandal, to the reason she chooses the roles she does.

Everyone thinks they have the right to, you know, publicize the struggles and sadness and heartbreak and all of that. It’s like – why do you think you are the authority to judge people’s experiences, Who are you to judge?
On how she manages to stay “sane” in Hollywood:
Why have I been able to stay sane in a sometimes insane world?’
‘The pure love of what I do. Making movies.’
On why she chose some of her more controversial roles:
I’ve always been drawn to material that’s more kind of heavy, you know? Whether it be dark or dramatic or sometimes disturbing. And that can be hard to do when people think you’re still a kid.’
