Tuesday’s night election assured Americans, Obama voters and loyal Democrats that the Affordable Care Act, Roe v. Wade, and fair taxes on the 1 percent would not come to an end under the Romney Administration. But we weren’t the only people rejoicing!

The re-election of Barack Obama took the world by storm, as a cheer of relief and pride could be heard around the globe. Newspapers from sea-to-sea basked in glee, praising the popular incumbent for securing a second term as the POTUS.  

When Obama became the leader of the free world in 2008, his inauguration as the first US African American president and a champion for progress became an international symbol of hope and change all over the map. His election is not only a victory for the country, but for nations around the world.
