Rihanna breaks down the meaning behind her beautiful Anthony Mandler-directed video “Diamonds.”
Besides “Diamonds,” Anthony Mandler is also responsible for the visuals of Rihanna’s “Disturbia,” “Russian Roulette,” “Only Girl In The World,” and “Man Down.”
In a recent interview with MTV, Rihanna revealed:
“With ‘Diamonds,’ it was just a series of vignettes that we put together to help get the emotion across throughout the song ’cause the song changes and it builds, and there’s no real way that you could do that. You just want people to feel that and I wanted little cutaways of interactions that would give you the right emotion.”

Rihanna is all set to embark on her “777” tour, which kicks off tomorrow.
Rihanna’s seventh studio album, Unapologetic, hits store shelves November 19.
