Although music is considered a “secular” art form in religion, artists sometimes love to channel their inner righteousness while creating music.

More recently, artists in hip-hop have been titling their diss tracks after Bible verses that share the word on how to deal with enemies and trespassers. 

Rapper Shyne recently dropped a diss against Cali rapper The Game titled “Psalms 68.” So GlobalGrind rounded up nine divine songs that are either titled after Bible verses, or have direct references to specific Bible verses.

From Pusha T’s Lil Wayne diss “Exodus 23:1” to Kanye West’s inconspicuous sample of Matthew 13:42 in G.O.O.D Music’s banger “Mercy,” GlobalGrind has all the Bible beats.
