To say that Jack Taylor, a college basketball player at Grinnell in Iowa, had a great night on the court Tuesday night would be an understatement.

Taylor set an all-time record in the NCAA, scoring 138 points at the Division III school to help his team win a 179-104 victory over Faith Baptist Bible. The 5’10, 170-pound athlete from Wisconsin scored 27 out of 71 3-point shots, was 52 of 108 from the field and made seven out of 10 free throws in 36 minutes.
In regards to his amazing record-setting game, the college sophomore said, “‘It felt like anything I tossed up was going in” however he was unaware of his score up until half time – by then he had 58 points.
His outstanding performance has caught the attention of NBA stars like the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony, who said that he was amazed by Taylor’s game. “I never heard of nothing like that. That’s like a video game,” said Melo. “How can you shoot 100 times, though?” Melo also joked that from now on he won’t feel guilty about taking too many shots and that he’ll remind people, “that someone shot it 108 times.”
Already, people are calling the young star the next LeBron James!
