Shoppers set a record over the holiday weekend, spending $59.1 billion, but many are still eager to hunt for online deals to spend more cash! This year, experts predict that shoppers will spend over $1.5 billion on Cyber Monday, which is 20 percent more than last year.

Unlike previous years, retailers began pushing online deals throughout the Thanksgiving weekend, while some started as early as last Monday. As a result, online bargain hunters have already spent a great deal shopping online. Online sales rose by 32 percent on Thanksgiving Day to $633 million, and by 26 percent on Black Friday to $1.042 billion.

According to the National Retail Federation, 247 million shoppers shopped online and in stores over the weekend, up 9 percent from last year.

Whether you’ve been holding out in anticipation for Cyber Monday, or have been spending racks on racks on racks and are ready to spend more, you can catch great deals if you do your research. For example, according to ABC News:

Amazon.com is offering as much as 60 percent off a Panasonic VIERA 55-inch TV that’s usually priced higher than $1,000. Sears is offering $430 off a Maytag washer and dryer, each on sale for $399. And Kmart is offering 75 percent off diamond earrings.

So do your homework and be a smart shopper this Cyber Monday!
