The 3-Series is without a doubt the most popular collection of BMWs. Even though your favorite rapper may be riding around in a 7-Series, the average BMW buyer goes for the 3. But what happens when BMW gets tired of making the 3 Series? They make it bigger and call it the 4.

The 4-Series is gearing up to replace the legacy that we know as the 3-Series. The 4-Series Coupe Concept is larger than the outgoing 3-Series coupe, but still retains familiar design cues, including the updated kidney grille and twin circular LED headlamps. Right now the 4-Series is only conceptual and production has not begun, so BMW has yet to release details on the powertrains that will be available once the concept goes into full production. Expect a range-topping M4 with the marque’s new turbocharged in-line six engine.
