The Newtown shooting in Connecticut has hit us pretty hard, so of course we are all sensitive to the topic.

To honor the country’s sensitivity, the FOX and SyFy networks have made the decision to cancel the airing of new Family Guy, American Dad, and Haven episodes for this Sunday.

FOX has stated that the decision was made in order to avoid potentially sensitive content this soon after the massacre.

Episodes of the shows will still air, but will be repeats instead of new episodes.

This decision is similar to the one that was made in April 2011 when hurricane-themed episodes were postponed after storms hit the U.S. that week.

SyFy’s Haven was postponed due to their new episode being centered around school violence.

It’s going take some time before the country has recovered from the tragic Connecticut shooting, but hopefully some other sensitive comedic relief can help.
