After Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao suffered a devastating knockout at the hands of Juan Marquez two weeks ago, the internet has ridiculed him with funny memes of the boxer being knocked out.
Being an official member of Floyd Mayweather’s Money Team, which also happens to be Pacquiao’s nemesis, it was only right that Justin Bieber participated in making fun of Pacman with a few funny memes of the boxer passed out.
Welp, his decision to taunt Pacquiao may get him banned from Pacquiao’s homeland of the Philippines.
Yes, it’s that serious.
Seven lawmakers in the Philippines have brought up legislation asking Bieber to apologize for his “distasteful comments … lest he be declared persona non grata.”
A Filipino Congressman made a public statement, adding:
“Mr Bieber should have known that the Hon. Pacquiao has reached his stature as such as a result of sheer hard work, determination and firm belief in God, and despite such stature best exemplifies humility and grace even in defeat.”
The seven lawmakers aren’t the only Filipinos pissed at the Biebs, the whole country actually hates his Canadian guts.
Don’t know if Bieber will apologize, but if he wants to sell out arenas in the Philippines, he only has to say two words, “I’m Sorry.”
