Seven-year-old Grace McDonnell, and 6-year-olds Catherine Hubbard, Benjamin Andrew Wheeler, Jesse Lewis and Allison Wyatt were laid to rest, as mourners formed long lines and filled churches to say their last goodbyes.

Benjamin’s five uncles acted as pallbearers as two-dozen Boy Scout leaders lined the front pathway to the church in honor of the former Cub Scout. Catherine’s family remembered her by touching on her love and passion for animals.

Anne Marie Murphy, 52, was also honored today in a service where Cardinal Timothy Dolan compared her decision to lay her life on the line for the students with “Jesus.”

“Like Jesus, Annie laid down her life for her friends,” Dolan said. “Like Jesus, Annie’s life and death brings light, truth, goodness and love to a world often shrouded in darkness, evil, selfishness and death.”
