There will be no image of a shiny smiling Taylor Swift on this month’s cover of Elle Serbia, instead androgynous model Andrej Pejic has broken down some barriers and landed the cover spread.

Andrej, known for his ability to rake in major gigs as both a male and female high fashion model, has garnered quite a bit of fame for his gender-bending good looks, and while he has been featured in a series of high profile spreads, none of them are quite as groundbreaking as this.
Aside from being the first male to land an Elle magazine cover, the shoot serves as a homecoming for Andrej, who is a part-Serbian native of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who fled to Serbia during the Bosnian War.

Andrej is serving it up in a black wig and head-to-toe Jean Paul Gaultier on the cover and does double duty in the centerfold in a photo that features him dressed both like a male and a female.
