Another Friday has begun and the weekend is so close that you can taste it.

It may have been a long week for some of you but one thing is sure – we have got some great things that you can do today that won’t cost you anything. If you plan on visiting Madrid, Spain anytime soon, this installment of Dollars & Sense is just for you. Check it out below!

Look To The Stars In The Planetarium

The Planetario de Madrid, found on the edge of the Parque de Enrique Tierno Galvan, to the south of the city center, features dozens of visual displays that simulate exploding stars and black holes and interactive exhibits on comets, space exploration and the history of astronomy. Best of all, it’s free to enter.

Despite being bisected by Madrid’s equivalent of the south circular, the Parque de Enrique Tierno Galvan contains some decent flora, a large lake and several playgrounds, making this corner of Madrid well worth seeking out for a cheap and entertaining day. An iMax cinema can also be found to the northeast of the park.

Financial Tip Of The Day

“Budget” Nights Out.

A night out can be much needed, but dinner bills, movie tickets and parking fees each month can quickly start to resemble a mortgage payment! Don’t skip the night out completely, but consider eating at home before the movie. You can even invite your friends over for a cooking night — and they can return the favor the next time.
