After the hoopla and controversy over the “royal prank” that supposedly pushed UK nurse Jacintha Saldanha to suicide, two Australian radio hosts will not be blamed for her death.

DETAILS: Death Threats Force Royal Prank Australian Radio Hosts Into Hiding

After calling the hospital and impersonating the Queen of England, Mel Greig and Michael Christian were targeted as the cause of Saldanha’s suicide (she had answered the phone and transferred the call).

Since the prank, both Greig and Christian have received death threats and had to go into hiding. But it had been revealed, days after Saldanha’s death, that she attempted to kill herself twice in the past year and had been prescribed anti-depressants.

Officers submitted a file to the CPS last week for it to consider whether any offenses may have been committed by making the hoax call.

But senior police in Australia believe British prosecutors would have difficulty in finding a charge that could be laid against the two DJs.

I tried to tell ya’ll. It’s going to be really hard blaming the hosts for having a hand in the suicide.
