It’s only right that Jay-Z rung in 2013 standing on the stage he helped build.
The rapper spent the first 90 minutes of 2013 giving the concert of his life at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Jay-Z was the second half of a double bill which featured Coldplay as the opening act.

From 10 to about 11:30 Coldplay rocked the stage, and then at 11:59 Jay took the stage, where he lead the countdown to the new year.
On hand during the epic performance was Christina Aguilera and One Direction’s Harry Styles, who were in the house, as well as Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin’s wife, who actually hit the stage at one point during the night,
As Jay rocked in 2013, the rapper admitted, “I don’t know how I’ma top 2012. It was the year of Blue.” Jay got that right!
