It feels like Fred Perry has been celebrating their 60th Anniversary forever, but can you blame them? It’s not every day that a company makes it to their 60th anniversary.
In celebration, Fred Perry has compiled a list of its 60 most loyal designers, musicians and sports people who have been sent a reproduction of the original 1952 Fred Perry shirt and asked to personalize the shirt with a birthday message or full-blown customization.
In collaboration with the UK’s Dover Street Market, the impressive list of collaborators include colette, Duffy, Geoff McFetridge, Medicom Toy, Michael Lau, Inez & Vinoodh, Christopher Raeburn, Raf Simons and Stussy among others. The customized shirts will be on display in-store and at anniversary events before being auctioned for charity later in the year.
Fred Perry will present the first 20 customizations exclusively at Dover Street Market in London on January 26th. The installation will travel to DSM Ginza and I.T. Beijing Market after the London presentation.
