A New Jersey man wants to take awareness about the Hurricane Sandy disaster in Jersey Shore to new heights.

Christopher Angelo, 38, was arrested after he scaled the iconic Seaside Heights roller coaster, which has been submerged under water since October.

Angelo then raised the American flag, telling news stations that he was trying to raise awareness for victims of the storm.

A police boat met Angelo at the coaster and he was brought ashore, handcuffed, and arrested.

Just last week, Congress finally passed a partial $9.7 billion Sandy relief bill to aid in the recovery, after they came under fire for scraping the bill at the end of 2012.
