During Sundance, viewers were introduced to Uncle Vincent, the character Common plays in his new film LUV. LUV tells the story of 11-year-old Woody, who has to decide whether to follow in his hero’s steps or become his own man, as he spends the day with his recently paroled uncle, played by Common.

Common has been applauded for his acting abilities, but the real unsung hero in this film is newcomer Michael Rainey Jr., and if we count on the words of Common, there is something special about the 12-year-old actor that remains to be seen.
