Miley Cyrus and Pharrell stunned the music community when they tweeted a picture hanging out together last summer.
Months later, music fans are still baffled by their seemingly odd friendship.
In a recent interview with Hypebeast, Pharrell revealed why he’s working with the pop starlet and likens his relationship with Miley to his relationship with once tween star Justin Timberlake, stating:
“I remember when they use to ask me about the same questions with Justin. People be like why you going in with *NSYNC? Because there’s somebody in there that you don’t know.”

Pharrell also noted that like JT, Miley has an “old soul.”
Although they’ve been working together for some time now, we still haven’t heard any official collaboration from the two.
