During Paris Fashion Week, under the style direction of Kim Jones, Louis Vuitton presented their Men’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection at the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées today.

The collection had everything you would expect from the French brand and quite a few surprises as well. Most of the outerwear and accessories seemed to have a mountain exploration theme, with carabiners being used as fastening apparatuses on quite a few of the items.

There also seemed to be a bit of an Asian influence with bags and even a few suits made from traditional silk embroidered fabrics. All in all, the clothing pushed the comfort zone of the normal Louis consumer, but still had enough pieces to stick to their usual aesthetic.

One person we know did not mind the pushing of the comfort zone was Kanye Westwho was right in the front row for the show and later made his way backstage. There he spoke to Kim Jones about the collection and gave him a big hug to congratulate him on the show, which was Kim’s second since he joined Louis Vuitton in 2011.
