The always stunning Jennifer Lopez is making a press comeback with promotional tours for her new film with a plethora of interviews, press rounds and of course, a People Magazine cover.

But the cover doesn’t come without controversy.

The magazine cover was released on the same day the new season of American Idol debuted, with Mariah Carey filling her role at the judges’ table, and some are seeing it as a reminder of the rivalry between the two divas.

There are also rumors that Jenny from the block is not feeling the new cover. According to Page 6:

“Her camp feels she looks old and haggard,” a source tells us. Friends are also comparing the singer and former “American Idol” judge’s wide-eyed look and stick-straight hair to eccentric 70-year-old fashion designer Betsey Johnson.

Yikes! But J.Lo’s manager Benny Medina insists he was happy with the final result of the magazine cover, telling Page 6, “Look at the pictures and read the story! We worked closely with the editors of People and we are very pleased with cover photo and the results all around.”

In the article, Jennifer addressed her relationship with 25-year-old Casper Smart.

On how they got together:

“I just got out of a big, heavy, devastating thing, and he’s helped me heal. He’s been there for me.”

On their age difference:

“I ask him, ‘Why don’t you go find a young girlfriend and get out of here? What do you want with me?’ And you think, ‘How long is this gonna be?’ You think, ‘Okay, in 10 years I’m going to be like this and you’re going to be like that’ and … men at that age are … I think all different things. The truth is we don’t know what’s going to happen. We’re loving this moment right now. We make each other happy.”

On dating multiple men in the spotlight:

“I don’t regret those things – that’s who I am,” she says. “But at least now I’m at a point where I have to recognize that these choices and things that happen are partly because of me and my decisions and I have to be more careful. So I am being more careful.”
