Around the time Frank Ocean’s debut album Channel Orange was set to release, the somewhat reclusive singer let the NYTimes do a profile piece on him.

There were many interesting revelations in the story. One of the most interesting is the fact that Frank cut a record with hip-hop legend Nas, which will never see the light of day because it got destroyed due to a “technological mishap.”

The song was tentatively called “No Such Thing As White Jesus,” and though we might not hear that song…we still might hear records from the two.

DETAILS: Such A Shame! Frank Ocean Talks About Lost Nas Collaboration

Nas chopped it up with MTV recently and confirmed that he was working on a new album. MTV asked about possible collaborations, throwing the name Frank Ocean out there, and the rapper said:

“I would love to reconnect with Frank Ocean as far as that’s concerned, when you talk about that song.”

The rapper dropped more hints about his upcoming project. While Life is Good was somewhat a throwback, his next project will be a little more up to date:

“It’s very now, it’s very 2013, Nasir Jones. That’s what it is.”

We can’t wait to hear it.
