He may be an L.A. Clippers fan, but Tyga hit the Nets vs. Knicks game at MSG on Monday to celebrate the launch of his new signature shoe – the Reebok Classic T-Raww. The YMCMB star, always one to make a bold statement through his style, has created a line of fashion-forward yet functional footwear in eye-catching colors.
GlobalGrind’s Sharon Carpenter caught up with Tyga on the court for an exclusive interview, where she got the full scoop on his flashy, new sneakers.
The 23-year-old rapper also dished the deets on his new studio album Hotel California, scheduled for release March 26th, and addressed the reasons his second collaboration with Chris Brown is currently on hold.
Plus, Tyga finally speaks out directly on the controversy that has some questioning his street cred. Old footage recently surfaced of the rapper on a game show called Bustas, where he claimed to have had a cushy upbringing in The Valley, rather than a tough life on the streets of Compton. T-Raww says he taped the show years ago in the hopes of getting some exposure and he created the story solely for the cameras.
Tyga also speaks on Freddy E, the rapper who committed suicide after tweeting his intentions to end his life and says rumors that Freddy was his artist are untrue.
Check out the video below for more on Tyga’s Reebok T-Rawws. The first design – the red and blue sport – will hit Shiekh stores on Valentine’s Day at a price tag of $80.
