UPDATE: 12:10PM EST

TMZ confirms the name of the passenger was Shateria L. Moragne-el who is reportedly dating our man Ricky Rozay. Cops say neither party suffered any injuries. The suspects fled from the scene before cops arrived on scene.

Constance Jones, reporter for Local10 tweeted about the gun used in the shooting, stating witnesses said a rifle was used.

NBC Miami is on the scene where they report:

Witnesses said rapper Rick Ross was inside the Rolls although the names of the victims inside the car were not being released because they’re in fear for their lives, according to police.

“The occupants of the vehicle have asked for their information to be withheld from being released,” Fort Lauderdale Police spokeswoman Det. DeAnna Garcia said. “They obviously, with everything that just took place, are fearful for their lives and their families lives.”

It has been confirmed by TMZ that neither Rick Ross or his female passenger were shot during this morning’s incident.

Local Florida news outlet WSVN reports:

Fort Lauderdale Police have gathered dozens of bullet casings from Las Olas Boulevard after someone opened fire on a vehicle.

Several gunshots were heard in the area of 1410 E Las Olas Blvd., around 5 a.m. According to locals, they said Rapper Rick Ross was in the Floridian Restaurant celebrating his Birthday and as he left in his Rolls Royce, someone opened fire. Police have not confirmed this information.

The bullets missed the Rolls Royce but the vehicle slammed into the restaurant. Luckily, police said no one was injured by the gunfire. Several businesses in the area were hit by bullets.

We’re hearing reports this morning that our favorite bawse, Rick Ross, may have gotten into a car accident down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after a possible shooting.

NBC Miami reports:

Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating after a shooting led to a Rolls Royce crashing into an apartment building Monday morning.

Police officials say shots were fired around 5 a.m. in the area of Southeast 15th Avenue and E. Las Olas Boulevard

The Rolls Royce was traveling eastbound on Las Olas when another vehicle opened fire on it, police said.

When the Rolls tried to get away, it crashed into the building at 311 Southeast 15th Avenue. Neither of the two people inside were injured, police said.

Police are still looking for the gunman or gunmen.

The names of the victims inside the Rolls weren’t being released because they’re in fear for their lives, police said. Witnesses said rapper Rick Ross was inside the Rolls.
