“But honestly my favorite type of gear is a scrunchie for her hair and La Perla underwear, clear?” – Jay-Z

Italian lingerie label La Perla had by far the sexiest kickoff to NYFW yesterday at the Dream Hotel near the Meatpacking District at its Fall 2013 show.

The Nice

Giovanni Bianchi, La Perla’s creative director, spoke with Reuters about how their “Duende” collection was inspired by the theme of Spain and how the Spanish like to play with fire.

The black and red color palette was inspired by the paintings of Francisco Goya. The bodysuits, sleepwear, and robes can be seen in silk, tulle, and plenty of lace. The form of swirling lovers dancing and the matador create drama in this collection.

The Naughty

La Perla’s Black Label was inspired by E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy this year. Black and nude gossamer lace made up the playful, yet ultra chic, collection. Models wore knee-high caged heels to finish off sheer floor length nighties.

Trends Spotted: Fringed negliges, caged, knee-high boots, suit-themed sleepwear, fur coverups, peacock-patterned lace

Our Rating: We definitely wouldn’t mind watching Anastasia Steele getting whipped into shape by Christian Grey wearing high cut panties and sexy office inspired sleepwear.

Our Favorite Look: Barely there fringed midi-length negligee over silk short shorts!
