Last week Tommy Hilfiger showed his men’s collection for Fall 2013 during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week and even though it’s freezing out, we found ourselves praying for the fall to get here again!

The collection, like the women’s show we previewed, also utilized the same contrasting houndstooth patterns.

NYFW: All Houndstooth Everything At Tommy Hilfiger Women’s Fall ’13

There was houndstooth piecing on some of the more subtle pieces, but a clear lack of the same leather pieces that the women’s collection had. On the other hand, there were quite a few leather details on the outerwear pieces and a bit of a more rock n’ roll vibe for the men’s collection.

There was a considerably larger amount of houndstooth pieces than the women’s, but the “Prep” look carried over just the same.

We can definitely anticipate more houndstooth in our wardrobes once the temperatures begin to drop again.

Check out some of our favorite looks from the Tommy Hilfiger men’s runway show for Fall 2013 Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week in the gallery above.

Trends spotted: Houndstooth, Oversized coats, Leather piecing

Faces in the front row: Joe Flacco; Marky Ramone, Vincent Piazza

Our rating: We love this! We like that Tommy took a chance with the mixing of houndstooth and mixed in a bit of rock & roll influences.

Our favorite look: Pinstriped shearling moto jacket with red/navy leather detailing
