We can’t believe it’s the end of Black History Month already, but the day is upon us. This month has been reflective of African-American past, present and future, and GlobalGrind was glad to take a part in remembering and celebrating that history.

But what better way to close it out then by looking at adorable kids dressed like historical figures.? Nothing feels better than a genuine “awwwwww!”

Photographer Eunique Jones understands that. She curated 28 photos for the “Because of them, we can…” essay that features 40 children posing as influential and historic figures in Black history.

She told the Grio, “[This project is] something that the kids needed to see. The message has legs.”

“This is the first time I’ve been so adamant to find a way to make it happen,” she told the Grio. “I feel like this message is relevant and so awesome. It pays tribute to history and pays tribute to the future that lies ahead.”
