Let me start out by saying, I don’t believe that Kanye West and Justin Timberlake have any real hate for one another. Though Kanye singled Jay-Z out as the one person on “Suit & Tie” he has love for and then proceeded to hate on JT’s song altogether, it still doesn’t appear to be the kind of war people are making it out to be.

They are definitely not going to come to blows, or anything close to it!

Even with remarks exchanged, and maybe a lack of respect for JT on Kanye’s part, Justin doesn’t seem to be that bothered… as he so sarcastically stated while hosting SNL, he just feels like ‘Ye is a dramatic rapper.

And to tell you the truth, Kanye might even agree with that himself!

Though there probably isn’t any real beef going on, you can’t deny that Kanye had to be, at the very least, talking about the song. He was definitely trying to throw shade on JT and the song … But how could “And I got love for Hov, but I’m not fucking with that ‘Suit & Tie'” not be, at the very least, about the actual musical content? Kanye West has been seen out in a suit and tie very recently, so he isn’t talking fashion, and those arguing that he was making a metaphorical reference seem to be reaching.

Throughout that long rant, ‘Ye named names, and got very specific. I mean, if he made fun of HIMSELF, threw shots at the Grammys, and the President of the United States, what makes anyone think Justin Timberlake AND his song were exempt from that?

When you disrespect someone’s music in such a public forum, as such a public figure, there’s no way you’re not automatically dissing the artist behind it.

Look how upset ‘Ye got when Sway and MTV publicly listed him as the 7th hottest rapper. He definitely took it personally.

Music is a personal thing. Any way you put it, shots were fired, people… believe it, it’s true!

Still, my real issue is with anyone who thinks that because there may be an actual problem between these two, which as I’ve expressed I seriously doubt is the case, Jay-Z should stop performing with Justin Timberlake.

Huh?!

Jay-Z is a businessman – why would he drop a whole tour because of a silly comment one of his musical peers made? Kanye West is just doing what Kanye West does… he goes off on people, says what he thinks, and exercises his right to speak freely. He’s allowed to feel differently than Hov – they did a whole album together. Most likely they’re used to not liking each other’s shit; it’s a part of the process. In short, Hov is his own man. Messing up business because of personal issues is never an intelligent idea and as he should, Jay is always going to put business first!

It’s a good song, with great artists, and one man who said he doesn’t fuck with it. That’s it. ‘Ye doesn’t have to fuck with it… Justin Timberlake is a respectable artist, actor, and businessman himself who doesn’t need anyone’s cosign.

He’s been hot!
