Well, new reports suggest that the couple split after taking some time apart from one another.
US Magazine reports:
“It’s sad,” one pal tells Us, but cautions that it might not be a permanent break. “It’s not over until it’s over. You have to see how things play out.” Adds another source: “She’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.”
Things seemed to be going very well between the two, Katy would call John her boyfriend and they always appeared happy together. However, recently things seemed to change.

PEOPLE Magazine points out that after a getaway to Montana, the couple has been very distant despite being only a couple of miles from each other in Los Angeles.
Along with keeping their distance over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, Perry indicated she was in a particularly biting mood on March 15. The pop star Tweeted: “Perfectly put, by Daughter” with a link to the indie-rock group’s single “Landfill.” That song includes the lyrics: “I want you so much, but I hate your guts I hate you.”
