Raw. Gritty. Captivating.

Michel Gondry captured what it’s like to ride the bus home after school in New York and made a movie out of it. The We and The I opens in select theaters today and we must say, it’s a unique and affecting tale. And it all takes place on the last day of school during a group of kids’ bus ride home.

The We and The I tells the stories of these aggressive teenagers, as they struggle to find themselves as they start their summer break. There is Laidychen, a young girl who got black out drunk and doesn’t remember what happened. Niomi, a girl helping her friend plan her Sweet Sixteen, and Michael, a bully who bullies people just to fit in, when on the inside he’s really a nice guy.

Then there’s the stand out star that leaves you thinking she is this film’s Rosario Dawson, Theresa Lynn, who plays a girl who comes back to school after a dramatic event left her too embarrassed to continue her education.

We had the opportunity to catch up with the entire cast of the film here in New York City and figure out what their next plans are and what it was like making this film.

Check out the interview, then check your local theaters to find out where this film is playing in your neck of the woods.
