Beyonce and Jay-Z have been living the good life this past week as they went to Cuba to spend their fifth wedding anniversary together.
The power couple has been taking a load off in the country, but apparently many people are not pleased about the location they chose.

Being that Cuba is known for extreme poverty and repression, their stay seemed very insensitive to many of its residents.
Mauricio Claver-Carone told TMZ what he thought of their choice in destination:
‘There are women getting beaten on a daily basis, women who are jailed for no reason…people are fighting for their freedom. It’s extremely insensitive.”

Apparently, visiting Cuba for tourism is banned, and visitors need a special visa to visit the country.
There’s no details as to why these two chose Cuba, or how they were able to get a visa to visit, but we know that they did have a great time with their mothers while there.
We’re glad that Bey and Jay’s wedding anniversary was extra special, even if the criticism has come rolling in!
