Most of us don’t remember all of our teachers over the years. But if you’re lucky, at least one of them made a difference and you paid enough attention to care.
PHOTOS: 10 Hip-Pop Artists We Wish Could Teach Our Classes
Yesterday, we learned that John Galliano would be teaching a few classes at Parsons, The New School Of Design in New York City and it got us thinking. If John Galliano can teach a class, we’re pretty sure that anyone can. So if we had the choice of rounding up our favorite people from the fashion industry to teach at our school, who would they be?

From Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz to the Anna Wintour, we listed our top ten favorite people in the world of fashion and put them front and center in the classroom for your learning pleasure.
Check it out below.
Dean
Karl Lagerfeld
Who better than Karl to be the Dean of your school? Karl is known to work on a whole lot of projects at one time, including Chanel, his own collection, and whatever else comes his way. He would probably be the best at handling the trivial (and not so trivial) issues of college students.
Intro To Photography
Taught by: Terry Richardson
Terry Richardson can teach you the basics of using a camera. He is often criticized for being too elementary with his photography; so who better to learn from than him?
Accessory Design
Taught By: Anna Dello Russo
Anna has many accomplishments under her belt, including her stint at Vogue Japan. But nobody and we mean nobody, knows how to accessorize quite like Anna. H&M even tapped her for her own wild accessories collection.
Accounting
Taught By: Mark McNairy
It’s not that Mark McNairy is well known for his skill with numbers, but he is known as McNasty and usually looks miserable. So why wouldn’t he teach one of the most miserable classes in college? We can only hope he’s the type of teacher who doesn’t give out homework, because he couldn’t think of a worse way to spend the evening than going over your homework.
Graphic Design
Taught By: Alber Elbaz
Alber makes beautiful creations for Lanvin, but within the last year has worked with Minnie Mouse twice on a custom Lanvin creation. He was even made into a cartoon by Barney’s for their “Electric Holiday” campaign. It’s obvious that Elbaz has a love for all things animated.
Principals Of Speech
Taught By: Kanye West
We know what you’re thinking. Why wouldn’t Kanye be teaching something in music? But Kanye is undoubtedly one of the most outspoken and opinionated rappers in the game. He’s become a master at making whatever he says – count. Who better than ‘Ye to teach you how to get your point across?
Psychology of Colors
Taught By: Jenna Lyons
JCrew is all about bright bold colors and punchy prints, so who better to tell us the meaning behind how color affects you? If she’s good enough for the First Family, she is great for us.
Music Theory
Taught By: Pharrell WIlliams
Pharrell has successfully worked with people across just about every musical genre and sampled music from every era. If anyone was going to teach how music works, Pharrell would be the best person for the job.
Publishing
Taught By: Anna Wintour
If anyone knows a thing or two about publishing, it would be the person who has been working as the Editor-in-Chief of the world’s largest fashion publication for 25 years. Heard of Vogue? Nuff said!
Economics
Taught By: Nick Wooster
Although he has since stepped down from his position, Nick Wooster managed to make JCPenney look cooler. It’s well documented that Nick has expensive taste, but he managed to successfully bring his aesthetic to a much lower pricepoint. Nick would definitely be able to teach you a thing or two about keeping money in order.
