It looks like a few people may be a little um…”emotional” over John Galliano’s latest position as a professor at Parsons, The New School For Design.

“Show Me Emotion” was set to be a four day course set up by the university for students to learn from Galliano, whom they called “an unparalleled living legend capable of blending and blurring the traditional boundaries of practice.”

STORY: Professor Galliano: John Galliano Gets “Emotional” As A Professor At Parsons

One student (or person claiming to be a student) has made a petition to keep John Galliano and his “emotions” out of Parsons.

“We do not want money from our tuition going to this kind of person,” the author of the petition wrote on Change.org. “We feel like we’ve been slapped in the face by our school. There should be no room for this kind of person as a staff member on the faculty at Parsons.”

The petition also makes several references to the infamous Anti-Semitic remarks that got John Galliano fired from his position as artistic director of Christian Dior back in 2011.

“Hiring someone who has made such horrific comments shows that the school values Galliano over their entire Jewish student body,” the petition reads.

We can’t say we didn’t see this coming. Since the class is set to take place shortly, we will have to see if Parson decides to go forward with John Galliano’s class or not. Stay tuned.
