Facebook’s purchase of Instagram is beginning to rear its ugly head. So to speak.
Even though you were always able to tag exactly who was in your picture in the comment section of each post, now Instagram has implemented a very Facebook-like tagging system called “Photos Of You.”
Instead of tagging in the comment section, you can now use the “Add People” function to tag someone directly on the actual photo. The person can then choose to approve their tag before making their photo public.
You can also tag places, animals or anything else that happens to have an Instagram account.
This sounds cool but it is making Instagram more complicated and too close to what Facebook already is. We’ll see how many more “innovations” will be made to Instagram in the near future.
