If you could have one rapper be the principal of your school, who would it be?

Well, the students of Mount Pleasant High School in Rhode Island already chose theirs, since they got Kendrick Lamar to be acting principal for the day this past week!

The m.A.A.d city rapper got to live out all of our childhood’s dream and be principal, where he encouraged over 1,000 students to stay in school and focus on their studies.

Being a 4.0 student in high school, Kendrick was the perfect person to show the kids that you can be in the rap game and still be book smart.

Being the first of his family to graduate high school, he told the students:

“Without education you don’t have anything. My teachers were great positive influences in my life. My middle school English teacher was probably the reason I became a rapper. He used to encourage me to write poetry and would challenge me, which helped me improve my vocabulary and made me enjoy writing.”

Kendrick got to hang out with 106 & Park hosts Paigion and Shorty Da Prince at the school, where they judged a dougie contest amongst the students!

He didn’t leave, however, before jumping into the crowd for a great kodak moment with his new friends!
