With only two months until the release of his sixth studio album, X, Chris Brown has been busy shooting back-to-back videos for his latest singles.
Earlier this month, Chris Brown announced he recorded a new song with the late great singer Aaliyah.
Now, fans have the chance to hear what Chris Brown has cooked up with Aaliyah’s previously recorded music. The song titled “They Don’t Know” features a sample by Jon B.’s 1998 smash “They Don’t Know,” and unreleased vocals of Aaliyah.
Chris Brown headed to one of the toughest neighborhoods in Los Angeles to shoot the video. During BET’s 2013 Awards press conference, Breezy explained the video, stating:
“I shot it in the ‘hood. I went to 60th Street and Cedar Block. [I’m] bringing both worlds together and trying to uplift the poverty side of the community and show them where I’m from. I’m from Virginia, but everybody comes from a broken home or being broke—I remember when I was.”
“They Don’t Know” will be featured on Chris Brown’s sixth studio album, X, due out July 16.
