Rihanna’s seventh studio album, Unapologetic, officially passed the million-dollar mark this week after selling another 9,000 copies. It’s the sixth RiRi album to go platinum. (Rihanna’s 2005 debut, Music of the Sun, has only sold 607,000 copies to date.)
Unapologetic has been on the billboard charts for 27 weeks now. This is relevant info because it took Talk That Talk — the album before Unapologetic — 43 weeks to sell a million copies.
Meaning, it’s clear that Rihanna is only just getting more popular.
Expect Unapologetic to keep on selling. “Right Now,” which features David Guetta, is the next single and it looks like it will be the fifth off Unapologetic to chart on Billboard.
