No matter how their love story ends, with a baby on the way Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will forever be connected at the hip.

But not everyone understands the KimYe union and that’s OK. They do.

The truth is, they probably have more in common than we think.

The other day, the NY Times published an extensive Q/A with Kanye West. So how related are Kanye and Kim? Let’s see.

We took some of the best quotes out of that NY Times story and compared them to some of Kim’s famous quotes to contrast the duo’s views on everything from art to fashion.

Check it out below.

Kim on dressing Kim:

“I love styling, so I would love putting outfits together and seeing someone come out of the dressing room and really feeling good about herself.”

Kanye West on dressing Kim:

“That was from a place of love. It’s hard when people read things in a lot of different ways. You know, the amount of backlash I got from it is when I decided to not be on the show anymore…I just see like, an amazing person that I’m in love with that I want to help.”

Kanye West on regrets:

“I don’t have one regret.”

Kim on regrets…

She regrets doing Playboy:

“I’m sorry I did Playboy. I was uncomfortable.”

She regrets parts of her wedding day:

“My one regret is that I wish I had more time to really enjoy the wedding, because there’s so much going on that you’re running around and now that I look back, I’m like, that day happened so fast I wish I had more time.”

She regrets the sex tape:

“I’m definitely not grateful for that experience. I would say if I had one regret that would be it.”

Kanye on apologizing:

“If anyone’s reading this waiting for some type of full on, flat apology for anything, they should just stop reading right now.”

Kim on apologizing:

Kim apologizing for a Tweet:

“I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize.”

Kim apologizing for saying Indian food is gross:

“I said that I thought Indian food was disgusting. In NO way was this intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste.”

Kanye West on creating things:

“There are people who have figured out the exact, you know, Kanye West formula, the mix between “Graduation” and “808s,” and were able to become more successful at it.”

Kim on creating things:

“I love to bake, especially cupcakes. I’m really good at it.”

Kanye on art:

“I’m going to be cliché for a minute and say that great art comes from pain. But also I’d say a bigger statement than that is: Great art comes from great artists. There’s a bunch of people that are hurt that still couldn’t have made the album [like 808s] that was super-polarizing and redefined the sound of radio.”

Kim on art:

“I hate when women wear the wrong foundation color. It might be the worst thing on the planet when they wear their makeup too light.”
