The 2013 BET Awards are just a few days away, and with funnyman Chris Tucker taking the stage as host, we’re sure viewers are going to be in for a lot of laughs But we’re excited for the show that comes before the show: the red carpet.
As Los Angeles is hustling and bustling, getting ready for the awards show this weekend, we wanted to jog your memory a little about some of BET’s most epic moments of the past.
With so many great moments to choose from, we compiled moments that have left a lasting impression.
The beautiful Kerry Washington makes our list wearing a Michael Kors gown, there’s Jay-Z looking dapper as he interrupted Kanye’s acceptance speech hit, and Nicki Minaj turning heads in a curve-hugging jumpsuit – just a few of our favorite, most memorable things.

Jamie Foxx memorialized Trayvon Martin following his death in 2012.
Rick Ross went topless for his 2012 performance. Though it’s not the first time we’ve seen him without a shirt, it still isn’t something we particularly enjoy.
Spike Lee rocked his usual getup in support of his team during his performance of “Negroes in Paris” with Samuel L. Jackson.
Willow and Jaden Smith pushed the style envelope in 2011, while Willow brought her daddy along for the ride.
