It’s been one week since Demi Lovato‘s estranged father passed away, and she is handling the situation pretty well.
The former Disney star recently hit up Good Morning America where she sang her heart out for her loyal fans, and didn’t miss a beat.
While she had nothing but good things to say about her absent dad in the interview, Demi still wore a huge smile on her face as she shut Central Park down.
She’s been through it all in her career between a mental illness, an eating disorder, and spending time in rehab, and nothing has kept Demi down so far!
She said in the interview:
‘I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I’ve dealt with mental illnesses, but my father also dealt with mental illness and he was not able to function very well in society.’
Demi’s father had been battling cancer for some time now, so the news of his death wasn’t as shocking to her family.
We pray for Demi Lovato and her family and hope that she can continue to be a soldier through this time!
