Dwight Howard is putting L.A. in his rearview!
After many meetings and much consideration, the NBA baller has confirmed that he’ll be making the move to Houston in a statement he released via Twitter.
I’ve decided to become a member of the Houston Rockets. I feel its the best place for me and I am excited (cont) http://t.co/h8WK4yP3zB

Howard is “excited about joining the Rockets” and “looking forward to a great season.”
The young center has been one of the most coveted free agents of this years group! His move to Houston will be his third team-jump in three seasons.
Fortunately, there are no hard feelings from the Lakers or Dwight. The teams General Manager released a statement and seems to be taking the split in stride!
Mitch Kupchak said:
“We have been informed of Dwight’s decision to not return to the Lakers. Naturally we’re disappointed. However, we will now move forward in a different direction with the future of the franchise and, as always, we will do out best to build the best team possible, one out great lakers fans will be proud to support. to Dwight, we thank him for his time and consideration, and for his efforts with us last season. We wish him the best of luck on the remainder of his NBA career.”
Although the Lakers have handled the break up well, some fans are struggling to cope and Kobe Bryant shortly after the announcement pressed the unfollow button on Dwight Howard on Twitter. Damn!

The Rockets signing the uncommitted, weak-minded Dwight Howard brings a whole other meaning to the phrase, “Houston, we have a problem”.

We knew Dwight Howard was leaving. We just hoped otherwise, writes @AnnaLBG http://t.co/r8c3HfRLwU

Meanwhile, Kobe also posted a slightly subliminal Intstagram.
He captioned the photo above:
“#vamos #juntos #lakercorazon #vino”
The Lakers may be down, but they’re not out! Though they’ve lost a great player, but many more remain.
We’re happy for them and Dwight and look forward to seeing what this season brings.
