On the heels of their album releases, J. Cole and Wale release a chill track titled “Winter Schemes.” Unlike J. Cole and Wale’s respective feel-good summer tracks “Forbidden Fruit” and “Love Hate Thing,” the Jake One-produced song boasts a darker theme.
“Yeah winter schemes for my summer dreams/ Winning seems to become my routine, It’s my thing/ Underdog, never under y’all/ I touch down in your city like a hundred yard,” raps J. Cole.
“Spring cleaning but I’m Winter frigid/ And with this summer, album got me bookin’ all them bitches,” raps Wale.
