The walls are closing in on former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez.

Recently unsealed search warrant documents reveal that one of Hernandez’s associates, Carlos Ortiz, told investigators that another man named Ernest Wallace said Hernandez admitted to shooting Odin Lloyd.

Oritz explains that Hernandez picked up Lloyd, a semi-pro football player, in a rented Chevrolet and that they were headed north toward Hernandez’s home.

The two men shook hands, but shortly thereafter the car stopped and everyone but Ortiz got out to urinate. Ortiz said he then heard gunshots. Hernandez and Wallace got back inside the car, Lloyd did not, and the vehicle sped away without him.

Police were able to target Hernandez so quickly, just one day after the killing, because the keys to the car rented by Hernandez were found in Lloyd’s pocket.

When police arrived at Hernandez’s home one day after Lloyd died, June 17th, he appeared argumentative and unremorseful. Police records indicate…

“Mr. Hernandez slammed the door and relocked it behind him.” It continues, “Mr. Hernandez did not ask officers whose death was being investigated. Mr. Hernandez’s demeanor did not indicate any concern for the death of any person.”

The police issued a 156 page warrant, and made some incriminating discoveries upon searching the football player’s house, watching surveillance footage of his home, vehicles he is linked to, and reading text messages from his phone.

Some of the most critical findings include the fact that similar soil was on the tires and lower panels of the vehicle that matched the soil at the location Lloyd was found, that Hernandez had been toting a gun the night before the shooting at a nightclub, and that Lloyd’s wounds were inflicted by a .45 caliber gun and a .45 Glock was found in Hernandez’s home. He also does not have a license for a gun.

As of now, the police report merely states Hernandez was present at the time of the murder, not that he was the shooter.
