August Alsina is from the streets of Louisiana, and decides to take it “Downtown.”
August links up with rapper Kid Kid for the title track off his upcoming EP, Downtown: Life Under the Gun. In the video – which happens to be based on a true story – the R&B singer laments over the harsh realities that one can witness or be a part of when you’re from where he’s from.
Towards the end of the video, you see little girls in white dresses holding roses for the fallen and August face-to-face with a blindfolded man that’s all tied up.
Downtown: Life Under the Gun drops August 20th.
