This love/hate relationship between Kanye West and MTV never gets old.
Despite having a fit over Britney Spears’ botched 2007 VMA performance and interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech in 2009, MTV is inviting the master of controversy to grace their stage once again.
This year’s performance on MTV’s premiere award show will be Kanye’s seventh time on the VMA stage, which will actually tie Madonna for the most VMA performances of all time… ALL TIME.
So far, MTV has announced Lady Gaga’s MTV VMA performance, but besides these two art-loving crazies, MTV hasn’t revealed any more performance secrets.
The MTV VMAs are set to go down on Sunday, August 25 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center at 8 p.m. EST.
