It’s time to pull out your Kleenex.

This is the story of Logan Stevenson, a 2-year-old who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia when he was just 14-months-old.

Logan had a younger sister named Savannah. He was short with peach-fuzz hair. In other words, he was adorable. The kind of kid who would wipe away his mother’s tears when she would cry. And his best friend was a stuffed rabbit who he named Bun Bun.

Logan had a very special day coming up. His parents were planning on getting married next summer. But before the big day could arrive, it was revealed that his remaining kidney had a mass and on Friday, July 26, his doctors informed his family that their beloved Logan only had two to three weeks to live.

Christine Swidorsky and Sean Stevenson decided to marry immediately so that Logan would be there. And Logan, even though he couldn’t walk down the aisle, had the huge job of being his father’s best man.

His mother carried him down the aisle, all dressed up in a pinstripe suit and an orange shirt. And of course…his friend Bun Bun was in tow.

That was just days ago. This morning, he passed away. The Associated Press reports:

A family spokeswoman, Sylvia Johnson of Youngwood, confirmed Logan’s death for The Associated Press on Tuesday. She later released a brief statement from his parents saying: “Logan passed away at 8:18 yesterday evening, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was very comfortable.”

His mother posted this on Facebook:

“I held him all day he was comfortable with his medication then at 8:18 my son took his last breath in my arms Logan passed away im so sad upset and im in disbelief he is with angels and he’s in no more pain. no more sickness no more hospitals.we love all of u for all your prayers thank u all for caring god bless u all! And most of all god bless Logan I’ll c u in my dreams my son.”

We send our condolences to Logan’s family. May he rest in perfect peace.
