Rappers be warned: don’t get on Nicki Minaj’s bad side.
A couple of weeks ago, veteran underground New Jersey rapper Ransom dropped a new track called “Man Alone.” On the song, Ransom raps:
“Before Nicki was wearing those crazy wigs, I was doing verses for her, just hoping she made it big.”
The folks at TMZ, who are apparently very hip-hop literate, asked Nicki about the allegations. And, in response, Nicki went all Nicki.
Meaning, she went off.
Here’s what she said:
“Yo, I’m not even a man and niggas got my dick in their mouth. Are you fucking serious? I’m undisputed because I’m the only female rapper that — day one — I don’t need no muthafuckin’ ghostwriter. So if you’re telling that lie you must be real muthafuckin’ desperate. And you still ain’t going to pop. How about that.”
Nicki was clearly riled up, because after that rant she started yelling, “how a wack nigga gonna write my shit?”
And then she walked off.
It is a shame it’s come to this. Years ago, when both rappers were still on the come-up, the two did numerous collaborations together, including “Brrraaattt,” “Money Ain’t A Thing” and “Long Time Comin.'”
