Between the time George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin and the highly anticipated trial that resulted in his acquittal, what was the former neighborhood watchman doing?

Lots and lots of moving. Records show that while on $1 million bond, he and his wife Shellie moved a total of three times during that year.

Zimmerman also ordered bulletproof vests and an infrared home security device in order to protect himself amid alleged threats to his life. According to records logged by Seminole County police who were monitoring Zimmerman:

“…He checked in with deputies by telephone every two days and he and his wife, Shellie, moved at least three times last year. Under the terms of his release on $1 million bond, Zimmerman was required to stay in Seminole County except to visit his attorneys in a neighboring county. He also was required to wear a GPS device, which was monitored by deputies.”

Officers were notified about the bulletproof vests and home security device from a sales representative at a police supply business. The visit to that store, as well as a sporting goods store, piqued the interest of the officers, and they checked security cameras to make sure Zimmerman hadn’t stepped in a place that sold firearms.

Later, when asked why he purchased the items, Zimmerman simply said he had ordered them for his protection.

We wonder how many times the speed demon will have to move this year for his safety…
