It’s no secret that Kendrick Lamar has been on the minds of many.

Ever since the Compton rapper claimed to be the “King of New York” and name checked his fellow rappers to essentially step their game up on Big Sean’s “Control,” everyone has been waiting for relevant emcees to respond.

DC rapper Wale was one of a select few rappers that Kendrick chose to call out, and according to the “Bad” rapper, he’s glad he made Kendrick’s roll call.

When asked about Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse, Wale responded:

“I’d have been offended if my name wasn’t in that shit, so shout to TDE and shout to Kendrick. I’d have felt a way if my name wasn’t in the verse. I still feel like I’m the best rapper on the planet. You should too, TMZ.”

Glad we’re getting verbal responses from a few of the rappers name checked on “Control,” but what about a wax response?
