Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took their hits to Central Park in NYC for Good Morning America. The Seattle partners in crime got the crowd going  with their hits including “Can’t Hold Us,” “White Walls,” and of course “Thrift Shop.”

The two are set to launch an arena tour on October 22nd in Portland and they spoke about the settings:

“The thing that is important about our live performance is keeping the intimacy. What’s important to me is to be able to connect with the fans like it was 20 people.”

Mackelmore also spoke on not being mentioned in Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse, saying:

“The way that I rationalized it in my head to make myself feel better was the fact that he leads up to it saying, ‘I’m usually homeboys with the people I’m rhyming with.’ Kendrick and I haven’t done a song yet. Boom! I feel better,”

LOL… whatever works.

You can look forward to seeing these fellas at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn on Aug. 25th but until then check out their GMA performance above and below!
